This is a very old lot of Darling Darlene
Rough Nuggets
, all natural, no treatment of any kind.   Very hard.  Colors are very bright.  Photographed sprayed wet to enhance color.
From the family of Joe and Kate Borredo.  An interesting side note.  The Darling Darlene mine was named after Joe's daughter Darlene who passed away in her twenties.  The mine was in Kate's name, not Joe's or Saggie's.   Joe worked this with Saggie Williams.  Saggie almost brought in Jim Elquist to work the mine with him but since he and Joe were related they ultimately hired Jim to do dozer work and they worked the mine together.  Joe and Saggie were both from the Shoshone Tribe.

Spiderweb nuggets are all natural.  These predate Tony Cotner, the previous
Damale
mine owner.  Very hard.  Beautiful colors in a dark host rock.
These are very hard pieces of Damale.  Turquoise looks as if it were painted on the rocks, turquoise permeates each stone.  Only cleaned with water.
Lightly sprayed with water to enhance color for taking photos.
There was very little orange Spiderweb Damale.  There are two pieces and one is only partially orange.  A fantastic collection of colorful, old Damale.
